The adidas Dragon Ball Z x Yung-1 Frieza was released in 2018, and comes from a collaboration between adidas Originals and Dragon Ball Z. The pair was designed to commemorate three famous battles from the Japanese anime series, and does so by pitting two silhouettes against one another. In the Son Goku vs. Frieza duel, a ZX 500 represents Goku, the show’s hero. The Yung-1 represents Frieza, Dragon Ball Z’s primary antagonist. Additionally, the '90s-inspired design honors Frieza’s final form by incorporating purple, grey and lilac overlays in leather and suede, with corduroy medial paneling. A fully rendered Dragon Ball Z graphic is featured on the insoles.
